Government calls for large employers to sign up to Apprenticeship Service

14/2/2017 Posted in: General News
With the Apprenticeship Levy launching on 6 April, employers with a wage bill exceeding £3m per annum are being urged to sign up to the new apprenticeship service. To encourage investment into apprenticeships, from April large employers will be required to pay 0.5% of their wage bill into the online service. Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service said, ‘Employers told us that they wanted to be in control of their apprenticeship programme and funding. They want to manage it quickly and easily, so we have designed the apprenticeship service to do just that’ Help with setting up and managing employer accounts is available at Gov.UK
